WAR AND PEACE
Peace, peace, peace
I was talking to my niece
About the horrors of war
And peace as need of the hour.
Peace is a symbol of prosperity
It can be said with authority
Peace means
Development and progress.
A pledge you’ll never transgress.
Peace is dear even to God
Who thinks war is a fraud,
War brings ruin and destruction
It smashes all construction.
War is a crime against humanity
Mass killings show man’s insanity.
It inspires awe and fear
Makes innocents devoid of cheer.
Follow the Buddha, Vivekananda and Gandhi
Who didn’t take blood and instead
They gave blood
And suffered for the sake of humanity.
Gandhi is called the apostle of peace
He brought solace to the suffering
His ‘empire’ wasn’t built
By force or fraud
Still he ruled over the hearts of all.
War is no solution
For problems of our creation
It’s a curse on mankind
We must bear it in mind.
Peace produces
Philosophers and saints
Who rule over the hearts of all
Whose deeds are written
In letters of gold
Therefore, grasp them in a tight hold.
So solve all problems peacefully
And ever live gleefully
Peace is always the golden rule
