Poem-Krishna's Legacy

KRISHNA’S LEGACY

There once was a God called Vishnu

Who was sleeping on his snake

Earth was filled with misery,

So he woke up with a shake.

He descended from the heavens

In the form of a young man

His name was Krishna

He brought glory to the land.

Once, when he was a child

He did a heroic thing.

He killd a three-headed snake

So the people started to sing.

He grew up so quickly

And became Lord of the land

He did many a good deed

And gave a helping hand.

Soon he heard of a war

Two cousins fighting one another

He joined one group,

And his army joined the other.

Krishna won the war

The Pandavas were victorious

Leaving the Kauravas lost and dead

They were nothing but notorious.

So our story ends

The tale of ancient texts

Vishnu went back to heaven

Soon to return as Kalki next.
