Poem-Durga Puja

DURGA PUJA

Four words we say in joy or sorrow,

Oh! God, help me,’

In broad street or narrow.

Wherever we live, wherever we stay

How much we are, sorrowful or gay,

Wise or foolish

For finding a way

We remember Her.

For peace and strength

We remember Her.

For preventing death

She is always on our mind;

In autumn she appears

For a particular time,

She brings joy and peace

A symbol of strength is she,

She brings happiness to all,

Specially the kids and the poor.

She brings peace to them

Who are struggling against

The firmament.

She comes to give us light

She stands by us and gives us might.

We chill, we cheer, we sing, we bear

The whole happiness of the world,

In the time of Durga Puja

That comes once in a year.
