Poem-Kashmir

FATE OF KASHMIR

Kashmir, our paradise,

Gives us unlimited joys

The beautiful blooming flowers,

Take away our happy hearts.

The big chinar trees,

The plump red apples,

The sweet fragrance of primroses,

Are the pride of Kashmir.

Oh! Where are the big chinar trees?

Where are the blooming flowers?

Where are the days when we sang

The pride of our bewitching land?

Have they ever felt?

Or will they ever feel?

What our Kashmir has come to,

Owing to the terrorist fleets?

Will the day ever come

When our foe will become our friend?

I hope the day is not far,

When their ways they will mend.

Our Kashmir will be our paradise again,

Giving us unlimited joys,

The flowers will blossom then,

And yes! Disputing nations

Will be friends again.
