CORRUPTION: The Enemy within and around us

CORRUPTION: THE ENEMY WITH IN AND AROUND US
Corruption – The Incurable Cancer of a society, is a dormant factor in its growth and destruction. No amount of radiation, can cure it, but for the “Self-Realisation“ of its impact , by individuals indulging in it. Our Noble Nation, not only stands high on Population Ranking, but also on Corruption Rating. This discredit is being carried by every Indian, because of those few, who have put their interest, before that of the Nation.
Probably, corruption dates back to the time of human origin. In the recent history, it finds a place right away in Shakespearean Play of Hamlet. Polonius is perhaps the most obviously corrupt character in Hamlet. His corruption has occurred long before the play begins; the progression is in the extent to which it is revealed to us.
Corruption when put in simple words mean "misuse of public power for personal gain," when allowed freely would hamper , the normal functioning of organisations, hampering economic development, diminishing public trust in the organisation, and undermining the image of the nation in the international community.
Leaving aside the morality of bribe-taking, influence-peddling, embezzlement, and other abuses of power for personal or narrow group gain, corruption exacerbates inequality, desecrates the rule of law, and undermines the legitimacy of democratic regimes. This could eventually affect the very constitution that protects this country from all this ill effects.
